Factor UTB has delivered a number of complete wastewater treatment solutions for heavy industry and remote camps across Australia. In 2007, Factor UTB was proud to deliver a permanent treatment facility for the Prominent Hill Mine, the first major new mine development in South Australia in several decades.

The treatment plant was designed and constructed to service the mine’s permanent accommodation village. Importantly, the facility was engineered with a larger-than-required long-term capacity to accommodate the significant surge in site personnel during the mine construction phase. Following completion of construction, the plant continued to provide reliable treatment at reduced operational loads consistent with the permanent workforce required for ongoing mining operations.

This project demonstrated Factor UTB’s ability to deliver robust, scalable treatment infrastructure in remote and challenging environments, supporting both short-term construction demands and long-term operational requirements.
