Brix & Co

Brix & Co is a privately held beverage manufacturing company in New Zealand focused on wine production and alcoholic mixed drinks. The company operates on a site formerly owned by Treasury Wine Estates, where Factor UTB had previously designed and constructed the wastewater treatment facility.

At the time, the winery had a crush capacity of less than 3,000 tonnes per annum, and the Factor UTB treatment plant operated successfully for four years before the site was sold. Following the acquisition by Brix & Co, Factor UTB was engaged to review and modify the treatment facility to accommodate the different wastewater profile generated by the revised production activities.

This scope included increasing aeration capacity and enhancing balancing storage to ensure stable operation under the altered loading conditions. Factor UTB continues to support Brix & Co through remote monitoring and operational assistance, and provides on-site servicing of process equipment and instrumentation as required. This ongoing relationship demonstrates Factor UTB’s ability to adapt treatment infrastructure to new industrial requirements and to deliver long-term operational support to its clients.
