Factor UTB has officially assumed responsibility for the operation of Cape Jaffa’s water and sewerage services following consultation with the Department for Environment and Water and Kingston District Council.
The transfer from SA Water took effect on 1 June 2026, with Factor UTB now responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, customer support, emergency response, and billing of these essential services.
As part of our commitment to the long-term future of Cape Jaffa, planning is also underway for a new potable (drinking) water facility, with construction expected to commence later this year. The project represents a significant step forward for the community, providing access to safe and reliable drinking water for the first time.
Access to clean drinking water is something many Australians take for granted, yet it remains one of the most important foundations for community health, wellbeing, and quality of life. The new facility will help ensure residents and visitors have access to a dependable drinking water supply into the future.

What does the Cape Jaffa transfer to Factor UTB mean for me as a customer?
Your water and sewerage services will continue as normal. Factor UTB is now responsible for billing, operations, maintenance, and emergency response, and is also progressing plans for a new potable drinking water facility that will provide the Cape Jaffa community with access to safe and reliable drinking water.
When will the new Cape Jaffa drinking water facility be available?
Planning is currently underway, with construction expected to commence later in 2026. Further updates will be provided to the community as the project progresses.
Can my Property Manager receive bills on my behalf?
Yes, we ask the proprietor(s) on the account to contact us, either by phone or e-mail requesting a nomination form for a third party to be able to make contact and/or receive bills on your behalf.
